Job Description & Summary

The PwC Technology and Network Information Security (NIS) team at PwC is searching for talented security and technology professionals to build out a new center of excellence in the Netherlands. 

Operating on a local, regional and global scale, Network Information Security (NIS) is responsible for the definition of our security strategy to hands on execution of our global Cyber Readiness Program, moving from predominantly local to centralized services. Global Technology is responsible for driving the adoption and operation of global IT services across the organization.

A career in Global Technology and  Information Security, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to develop and support our internal security technologies and services across the entire global and local PwC network. As a Data Incident Response Analyst, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. You will be joining the Threat Management team as an associate for the Network Data Incident Response (NDIR) service regionally, as well as participating in operational incident triage and analysis for the global service. NDIR is a newly formed internal service which provides first-line reporting and triage for all data incidents across the PwC Network of Firms, and is a key Network initiative to manage data-related risk. Demonstrates thorough abilities and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

  • Technology or information security principles, including a broad, high-level understanding of information security policy requirements and compliance, as well as current events within the cybersecurity space;

  • Business processes, particularly in the information security or information technology space; and,

  • The importance of knowledge sharing within a professional services environment 

Does this describe you? 

Demonstrates thorough abilities and/or a proven record of success in the following areas: 

  • Demonstrated experience in SOC/Incident Response/Technical Investigation including security event review, log analysis, host analysis, email analysis  and network analysis

  • Solid knowledge of computer networking, operating systems (both Windows and Unix based operating systems), and virtualization (cloud and on-premise)

  • Proven experience in SIEM-based detections and analysis

  • Strong understanding of investigative theory and best practices for effective analysis

  • Expertise  in advanced data analysis, statistics, visualization, threat hunting and detection engineering

  • Experience with insider threat or data loss protection services is an asset

  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders in particular facilitating collaboration with other functions

  • Demonstrate flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks

  • A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside diverse people and perspectives

  • Preferred Certification(s): (Certifications aren’t a prerequisite however are well regarded) - GIAC relevant certification or equivalent, SIEM vendor relevant certification, Cloud security vendor relevant certification
