Fraud and noncompliance with rules and regulations (such as KYC regulations) is happening all around us and we are the team that helps our clients detect, investigate and prevent it in the future using data analytics and most recent technologies. We are an integral part of the forensics investigation team and support the core forensics colleagues in appropriately collecting, processing and extracting meaningful insights from various forms of (structured and unstructured) datasets. Our work is revolving around 3 pillars: Providing insights using Data analytics (DA) and Machine Learning, Supporting investigations and Automating compliance and governance.
About the role
Perform custom data analysis using various DA skills using the following technologies: Python, SQL, diverse machine learning models, application of Responsible AI principles, NLP, network analyses and many many more. The focus in this profile is on the pillar Providing insights using Data Analytics.
Come up with creative and innovative DA solutions to various business problems in the areas of fraud detection and prevention as well as compliance to create business impact and value.
Work in diverse project based teams delivering projects to clients, aligning on expectations and final product to be delivered
Develop tools that would enable clients to leverage going forward the solutions we have delivered to them.
Gather and prepare data for analysis. Lead efforts in data cleansing and resolving data conflicts. Evaluates and recommends appropriate data models / algorithms in an effort to conduct exploratory data analysis to understand the relation between variables, identify outliers or patterns and assess the appropriateness of the data. Implements and validates data models / algorithms. Uses data models / algorithms to generate actionable insights and predictions.

Apply analytical mindset to business problems and translate them in technological solutions and then implement them in practice using best practices of DA and software development

Strong knowledge of Data analytics in the following areas: data analysis, data visualization, machine learning, network analyses etc

Python, SQL, Jupyter notebook, R, Git, Databricks, Tableau/PowerBi

You have 0-3 years of work experience;

You have completed a higher professional or university programme (BA or MA) preferably in IT (as your main subject or area of specialisation, e.g. Data Analytics, Software Engineering, Information Science, Information Technology, Cyber security);

You speak fluent English and preferably also fluent Dutch;

Strong communication skills, internally and with clients;

You are a team player;

You are genuinely interested in Forensic IT.
